The 4 models shown below are the original old-school, time-tested, entry-level McLane Reel Mowers.
These are NOT equipped with the grooved front roller which prevents scalping, so we highly suggest that they be used on very flat lawns, or to cut in the 1-inch to 2-inch range. ( They can cut as low as 3/4" and as high as 2-inches in most conditions )

The McLane® Factory-installed Grooved Front Roller is far superior to any aftermarket roller and allows 85% of the grass to remain upright to be cut by the reel and bedknife.
