How long will it take to receive my mower?

We ship 95% of orders from our Florida warehouse facility or the McLane factory in California within 3 business days. Delivery usually takes 2-4 days depending on your location. Most orders are delivered within one week.

Does the mower arrive completely assembled?

The mowers arrive 95% assembled and require only the handles and controls be installed. All adjustments are set so you are ready to mow! Plan on spending about 60 minutes to read the manuals, complete the assembly, and service the engine by adding oil and fresh fuel.

Who will provide Warranty Service if needed?

The warranty ratio on McLane Products is less than 1%, or less than 1 of every 100 units. The McLane factory in California resolves all after-the-sale issues. This includes missing parts, shipping damage, as well as questions about assembly or adjustments. Please contact them 9am-4pm CALIFORNIA TIME at (562) 633-8158.

In the rare instance you should require engine warranty service, the engine can be serviced by any of the 15,000 Authorized Honda or Briggs & Stratton dealers across the country.

  • Where will I get the mower sharpened? Most homeowners can go 2-5 years before sharpening unless you are cutting pinecones, leaves, sticks, acorns, pecans, walnuts, etc. There is at least one mower shop in most metropolitan areas who sharpen and adjust reels and bedknives - and just about every shop will know who that is if you ask. The local golf course maintenance area is also usually a place that offers this service.

    Should I purchase a mower with a 7-blade or 10-blade reel?

    If you scalp your lawn in the early spring and late fall or plan to cut below 3/8" you will need a 10-blade reel to do this effectively, especially in thick, late summer grass. The McLane GR mowers will cut as low as 3/4", the LC-Series cut as low as 3/8", the ULC -Series cut as low as 3/16", and the Greenskeeper models will cut as low as 1/8".

    Should I purchase the Briggs & Stratton or Honda Engine on my mower?

    Both the B&S XR-Series engines and the Honda GX-Series engines are industrial-commercial grade engines which feature cast-iron cylinder sleeves, ball-bearing supported crankshafts, and heavy-duty exhaust and carburetor components. Both engines will provide an average of 3X the service life of a standard consumer grade engine you see in a department store.

    What about adding aftermarket accessories? Please do not add accessories or replacement parts not manufactured by McLane. Most of the mowers we see with issues have been fitted with aftermarket parts which create many problems. Your mower warranty is voided if you install any accessory or replacement part not manufactured by McLane.

    How much is shipping? We pay 100% of shipping charges in 48 States. We charge no sales tax except to orders in Florida. Some orders are fulfilled by our dealer network to expedite delivery. Shipping to most areas of Hawaii is $249.

    Can I speak with an Equipment Specialist before I buy? This is what we do best! We have more McLane product knowledge and experience than anyone.
